LGBT Youth Scotland and Youth Highland are creating a dedicated LGBTQ+ youth space at Lochaber Pride — and you’re invited.

Join us at the Nevis Centre on 28 June, 2.30pm–4pm, for a relaxed, welcoming session designed by and for LGBTQ+ young people. It’s a chance to meet others, share ideas, and celebrate everything that makes you proud.

But this isn’t just a one‑off moment. Together, we’ll be gathering your ideas for youth‑led Pride activities throughout the year — from social meet‑ups and creative projects to campaigns, workshops and new ways to build community in Lochaber. Your voice will help shape what LGBTQ+ youth spaces look like locally, not just at Pride but all year round.

Come hang out, connect, and help us imagine what Youth Pride in Lochaber could become.

LGBT Youth Scotland

Scotland’s national charity for LGBTQ+ young people, aged 13-25. They support young people in all aspects of their lives through the provision of amazing youth work, and they support them to use their voice to create change in equality and human rights.

LGBTQ+ Youth Support in Lochaber

LGBT Youth Scotland and Youth Highland work together to support LGBTQ+ young people across the Highlands, offering safe spaces, practical resources, and opportunities to connect with others.

Their services are designed to help young people feel confident, supported and included in their local communities — whether they’re looking for information, someone to talk to, or a place to meet others.

Below you’ll find more information about the support available for practitioners, young people, and local LGBTQ+ groups.

Youth Resources

Young people can access information on identity, wellbeing, relationships, coming out, and staying safe. There are also online support options, digital groups, and opportunities to speak with trained youth workers. These resources are designed to help LGBTQ+ young people feel informed, empowered and connected — no matter where they live.

Practitioner Resources

Both organisations provide guidance, training and toolkits for teachers, youth workers and community practitioners who want to create safer, more inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ young people. This includes best‑practice advice, policy support, and practical resources for delivering LGBTQ+‑inclusive youth work in rural settings.

Meet Other LGBTQ+ Young People

LGBT Youth Scotland and Youth Highland support local youth groups where LGBTQ+ young people can meet, make friends, and take part in activities in a safe, welcoming space.

These groups are youth‑led, inclusive, and supported by trained practitioners. They offer a vital sense of community for young people growing up in rural
areas.
